A Rainy Long Weekend in Sechelt, BC

Alison and I were accompanied by our wonderful friend Brent and Steph Matthews and Tyler and Steph Wiebe to Sechelt, BC this past Easter Long Weekend.  The Jackson's are attempting to make a tradition of camping somewhere (preferably by the ocean) every Easter Long Weekend. This year our plans to head back down to Fort Stevens on the Oregon Coast were foiled due to some less than favorable actions by an unidentified person of little character who happened to run off with Alison's passport; therefore, USA was a no-go.  Our misfortune didn't stop us, we still found adventure and good times, and we were blessed to be accompanied by wonderful people.

The weather for the weekend wasn't necessarily cooperative, but the group still made the best of it all.  Our time was populated with time spent on the beach, a hike to Skookumchuck Narrows ("Skookamachoo" according to Tyler), and lots of time fanning the fire to keep it going.  Overall we had a great time away from the city despite the rain and cold.  Thanks friends for sharing the experience!
