I was born in Duncan, British Columbia where I spent my first five years. As a child I spent the majority of my time outside exploring the forest surrounding my parents house. This immediate exposure to exploration of the outdoors fostered a later appreciation for all things outside. I'm most at peace when I'm walking through a forest of riding down a mountain.
I've always been an artist; from pencil and paper to 3D modeling then later to photography. I don't think I ever fully intended to pursue photography, but I can be impatient and pencil lines and brush strokes take too long, so natural course of events led to a camera. I love the ability to explore and capture, then go home and relive the adventure and transform my photographs into what I saw in my mind when I snapped the initial photo then have a finished product in just a few hours.
If you're wondering about the Toyota thing, it's been an obsession for many years with many variations. The truck is my ticket to pretty much everywhere I go and it's slowly becoming my home. I'm pulling a Boler trailer now as my wife and I globe-trot around North America, it affords me an editing space and dry place to sleep anywhere I go.
